Open minded therapy is passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges with compassion and understanding. At Open Minded Therapy, my goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to embrace their journey toward healing.
My work is rooted in fostering healing, empowerment, and advocacy for those who have been marginalized. I also stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community as they continue to fight for equality and recognition across all systems.
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, identity formation, and more. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where healing and self-discovery can unfold at each person’s own pace.
I believe that therapy should be accessible and adaptable to fit each person’s unique needs. My goal is to make support available in a way that feels comfortable, convenient, and empowering for every client.
Open minded therapy blends evidence-based practices with a holistic approach, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and environment. By integrating research with each person’s unique strengths, I help clients build lasting tools for growth and well-being.
Therapy is more than overcoming challenges—it’s about growth, self-discovery, and empowerment. I help clients build confidence, resilience, and the tools to create meaningful change in their lives. My goal is to support each person in stepping into their fullest potential.
ACT is a mindfulness-based therapy that helps individuals accept difficult thoughts and feelings, commit to personal values, and take meaningful action. Instead of trying to eliminate distress, ACT teaches you how to relate to it differently—so you can live a fuller, more intentional life.
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. Through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain process and integrate painful memories, reducing their emotional impact. Many clients find relief faster than with traditional talk therapy, allowing them to move forward with greater resilience and peace.
DBT is a structured, skills-based therapy that helps individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build a life worth living. Combining mindfulness with practical tools for distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Mindfulness Therapy helps individuals become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations in the present moment—without judgment. By cultivating this awareness, clients can respond to stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges with greater clarity and calm, leading to improved emotional well-being and a deeper sense of balance.
Trauma-Informed Therapy is an approach that recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment in the healing process. It emphasizes compassion, choice, and collaboration—creating a supportive environment that avoids re-traumatization and honors each person’s unique experience.
Somatic Therapy focuses on the connection between the mind and body to help release trauma and emotional distress stored physically. By tuning into bodily sensations, movement, and breath, clients can process unresolved experiences, increase self-awareness, and restore a sense of safety and regulation in the nervous system.
